The $11 Million Christmas Tree At Emirates Palace Hotel In Abu Dhabi |
This might come as a surprise, but the most expensive Christmas tree ever is to be found in the gold-leaf bedecked atrium of the luxurious seven-star Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi. Yap! The one and only we've seen earlier this year in 'Sex And The City 2'.
The 13 meters artificial evergreen alone is valued at $10,000. The remaining over $11 million is in its glamorous decoration (that at the end of the holiday season will be recovered, which kind of makes you wonder...). Soo Kee diamond Christmas tree from 2007 valued at $1,005,000 and Ginza Tanaka 24k gold Christmas tree from 2008 valued at $1.6 million pale in comparison. How sparkling this Christmas tree must be, all dressed up in diamonds, pearls, emeralds, sapphires, gold and silver! Necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and watches hang from its branches and my imagination runs wild just looking at those huge presents under it. This is one Christmas tree that will most likely enter the Guinness World Records Book for the most precious one in history.
My precious! My precious! Must have the precious! We wants it, we needs it. Must have the precious. They stole it from us. Sneaky little hobbitses. Wicked, tricksy, false!
Update: Here you can watch a video Rosa from newsy.com was kind enough to recommed. It contains closeups of the tree and a little twist.

Puerto Escondido (day 2)
Hardly slept at all Thursday night. There was a stupid Christmas tree with lights and one of those electronic gizmos playing Christmas music all night set up near the motorhome. It would repeat itself over and over. The music played all night long and...

More Rain On The Way
I think it is going to get to flood stage in a few days. I live about a mile from the American River, but don't worry as much as I would if I lived along a levee. If it gets bad enough then everyone would be hit by it. I would think...
