Aruba All Inclusive With Kids?
Q. I am planning a visit to Aruba. My hotel choice is going to be based largely on what activities are available for teenages (ages 14-18). I am very interested in an all inclusive facililty. Your response would be greatly appreciated.
A. Their swimming pool is a plain rectangle and their rooms are basic, but all the rooms are directly oceanfront with unbeatable views. The resort is all inclusive and you have use of all of the facilities and amenities at their sister resort, the Divi which is located a short 5 minute walk down the beach. It really gives you a huge variety of food outlets: 2 buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 2 all day grills and 4 ala carte sit down restaurants for dinner with a wide variety of offerings. No one will go hungry. Transportation is also provided between the resorts via golf cart shuttle.
There are a variety of activities offered as well as all inclusive sports. There are no motorized watersports at the resort, and obviously they are not included, but there are no all inclusive on the island of Aruba which offer motorized watersports as part of their all inclusive.
I have written a full and lengthy description of our trip beginning here. My photos of the Tamarijn begin here and the photos of the Divi are here.
The Holiday Inn on Palm Beach offers an all inclusive package, but their food is not the greatest. The Riu right now is probably the most expensive all inclusive resort in Aruba with the Occidental coming a close second. Check the reviews at Trip Advisor and you will find that the Tamarijn Aruba is rated much much higher in satisfaction. We traveled to Aruba over Christmas and stayed at the Tamarijn with our family of 10. Four kids ages: 11, 13, 15 and 18. They loved the Tamarijn, as did the rest of the family. Our main reason for staying at the Tamarijn was that kids 17 and under stay free when sharing a room with an adult.
