Charity Christmas Market in Valencia. Save the Kitties, Save the World!
I love cats like crazy and not having one or five is basically the only down part of traveling so much year round. I usually get my kitty fix in cat cafes and backside alleys, but nowhere else do I get to indulge on my petting urges like at the Botanical Garden from Valencia. I wrote about the cats living here twice already - here and here - and therefore I believe no visit to Valencia is complete without stopping by the Botanical Garden.
Over the weekend, the volunteers who take care of the kitties here held a charity Christmas market with handmade jewelries right in the middle of the garden. All sale money were for the cats at the Botanical Garden, mainly for food and vet visits. You can follow them on Facebook and you can even buy some beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings to help the cats (they would ship them anywhere in the world!).
I couldn't resist but going, and this time I even met the lovely cat ladies. They were extremely nice; they served us delicious cookies and gave us cat food to allure the cats! My husband bought me a cute cat necklace and I took a zillion cat photos. Some of the cuties found their way on my lap and I was over the moon. What else can one ask from a purrfect Saturday afternoon?

Visiting A Cat Café In Tokyo, Japan

The Botanical Garden From Valencia. Kitties And Flowers
The Botanical Garden from Valencia was founded in the 16th century, though it wasn't until 1802 when it moved to its current location. Back then, this area was outside the city walls, though not far from one of the two still standing city gates. Knowing...

Spring At The Botanical Garden From Dublin
We've only been to Dublin once - in spring. But I can't imagine a better timing, as the whole city was in bloom and I'm a sucker for pretty flowers. I have to admit that the parks of Dublin totally took me by surprise. I new Ireland...
