Feelin' good!
I don't know if it's the B-12 shot kicking in, but I felt pretty good this morning. I got myself all cleaned up and slicked up, and set out to do a bit of shopping.First was a stop at AAA to pick up a Washington/Oregon map. I think I gave mine to Jeannie, and you can't have too many maps in the family, so this was the first map of the day. From there I went to REI where I found a camp chair that doesn't have those awful locks on them, meaning I can set the chair up and I can take it down. At REI I picked up a very nice Yellowstone map, a nice waterproof, tear-resistant map. I also have one of those but gave it to Ara along with my map of the Grand Tetons. I may have to get another G.T. map depending on how I think I will route myself to NY, as well as how long I have to make the trip.I found a few other things at REI and when I went to pay, my total was something like $73; I had enough dividend left I only had to fork over $1.90, and that alone makes the day a good one.BevMo was next to get a case of Clausthaler's beer (non-alcoholic). On to Target for a few little items and then I headed home. I won't know until I drive up to the entrance of the Park, but I'm really wanting to see Yellowstone as well as the Grand Tetons. Since I'm already super old, this may be the "now or never" trip. Right now at this minute, I think I could anywhere and do anything.I'd like to leave around mid-August but that will possibly put me on the road over Labor Day, which might be problematic in getting a campsites and motels. I'd like to camp about half the time and stay in motels for the other half, but I really don't want to bother with taking along a stove and cooking meals. I'm thinking about getting a Coleman one-burner stove so I can make coffee in the morning. As long as the day starts out with good coffee I will be fine.
I turned on the TV this morning to see if Houston Animal Cops was on - it wasn't, just some show that makes hillbillies look dumb (and they really aren't dumb). I ran through the channels and DirecTV has again yanked the Science channels plus all the other ones I suddenly had access to for a few days. I don't know what their game is, but I will be glad to be rid of them in one more day. (I may end up eating those words!)

Sitemeter Woes
Is anyone else having problems with sitemeter? Mine was working just fine one day and then turned into a "black box" the next. I can click on the box and see the statistics page, but now it just gives totals and doesn't break down...

Surprise Visitor
I went to Jeannie's this evening to help celebrate her birthday, and got a big surprise. Ara flew in for a few days, and gave her family a big, big surprise. Stephanie picked her up at the airport and delivered her to the house. ...

Waiting
The AT&T installer was scheduled to be here between 11 and 1:00, and it's now 1pm. I just got a call from him saying he'd be here in about 20 minutes. But I didn't have anything else to do today, did I. So now he has been here...

What Can I Say?
It's hot, almost unbearably so without a proper a/c, but tomorrow will be worse. This summer is already written for me as to what I do and where I'm going, but you can bet next year I am going to be in the mountains for every heat wave to...

Computer Difficulties
My little one-burner Coleman camping stove arrived today. I opened up the box and then the case, but it looks like something has to be assembled so I closed it back up again. It's a job for Donald or Steve. I doubt there is more...
