There's not really a lot to do to shut things down around here. Besides, it turns out that they're actually keeping the campground open until the end of the month but there won't be any services. The water will be turned off and the washrooms and shower building will be closed. Nobody will be in the office and store although someone will come around a couple of times per day to make sure anyone camping pays their fees. There will still be electricity at the campsites though.

We had an abnormally cold night, and woke up to -4C (25F) yesterday morning. Almost a record low for this area. Some of the campers had frozen water lines, and a copper line that runs on the outside of our office building had split. Things warmed up quickly...

This is the last day for campers here at Cabri Regional Park. We don't have any daily campers here, and the seasonals have to be vacated by tonight, otherwise they pay $25 a night to stay longer. We'll have one or two of them stay, but they won't...

A pretty good start to our busy summer season here at the campground. We had everything ready to go, or at least we thought we did. Turns out that we missed a couple of things. Nothing serious, but it did cause a little bit of aggravation. Click here...

I visited the AT&T store this morning to order land-line service, having seen their website quoting unlimited local and long distance for $24.99, but it turned out that the cost to me would be $45, PLUS all the taxes, fees and service charges they add...
