I love getting company
Last night Steve called me on his way back from Berkeley where he had been attending business meetings, and wanted to know if I would like to go to the grocery. Of course I did, and picked up a lot of good stuff at Bel Air.This morning Jeannie stopped by on her way to work with a bag of laundry I had left at her house (I didn't leave it on purpose, I don't think). It was all washed and ready to wear! She also brought me some soup Donald had made. This afternoon Joe and his 2 girls stopped by with a coffee cake they had bought for me. The girls and I ate most of it then and there. Enteman's must have gone out of business because they have almost no product left on the shelves. Steve thinks they were part of the recent revival of the Twinkie brand, which is owned by giant food corporation whose name I don't remember, and who must have bought out Enteman's. I hate it when a long-time good product gets gobbled up by a company such as Kraft, Nestle, or the likeI decided to try walking a bit this afternoon and circled the small block across from my house. It is the size of maybe 1/3 or 1/2 a regular city block and I made it, although it was tiring. I really wish I had tv service, but no amount of internet research indicates how I can get tv without a contract. The ads say they have it, but there is no information about it or how to get it, the cost, etc. I do know Dish TV offers no contract service but you have to buy all the equipment and follow their instructions on installing it, etc. I can just imagine myself installing that equipment, getting on the roof to hang the dish, etc. I will just have to get through the boredom of my next few days and weeks until I can drive again. And I'm so thankful for my kids' thoughtfulness and generosity.

Checkin' In
Not much to relate except that my ribs feel a whole lot better - now they just ache rather than hurt! I did the gym thing last night and went easy on the upper body stuff, but I was a little sore this morning. I was up and out the door early for...

Good And Bad Days
It seems that a good day is usually followed by a not-so-good day, and yesterday was one of those bad days. I had an early appointment to get my hair cut and didn't have the time or appetite to eat much breakfast. Donald dropped me off...

Resting Up From Saturday
Yesterday Jeannie brought the girls over to my house in the morning since Donald was working on a cake. We went to the Farmers' Mkt. and then to Costco. I can't believe how much two little girls can eat from all the samples available. ...
