And I'm not really sure why.
A year ago today we were on our last day at Sturgeon Lake Regional park, and we couldn't wait to get out of there. I remember thinking that our last two weeks there just seemed to drag. The 16th couldn't come soon enough.
This year, we're here until the 30th...but it's not bothering us to be here.

The Saskatchewan Regional Parks system has 75 different parks. Each year, the Regional Parks board choose a "Park of the Year" and a "Park on the Move". The park we managed last year was chosen as "Park of the Year"! Click...

Most of these regional parks in Saskatchewan (there are around 90 of them) started out back in the 1960's or 1970's. Many began as just a place for a group of guys to go camping and fishing. As time went on they grew to include other services....
- The Fish Was "this" Big...!
We're not into fishing, but it seems we're the only ones at this campground who aren't. Most people who come here, come here to fish. The lake has a good supply of pike, perch and walleye, and also the odd Sturgeon. I guess the name, Sturgeon...

Well, we made it. We are now at our summer home at Sturgeon Lake Regional Park in the middle of Saskatchewan, Canada where we are the campground managers for the next five months! First impressions? It's going to be a great summer! Click here to read...

Only 183 kms (114 miles) to go and we will be at our home for the next five months. So we're heading out of here around 9:00am and we'll be at Sturgeon Lake Regional Park before noon. Our long drive will be over! We're pretty excited! Click...
