Luxury Spots in Israel
The magnificent Mediterranean Sea and its vast expanses of powder white sand coupled with the hot climate is one of the main attractions in Israel, making any of the cities along the coast prime candidates for being deemed a luxury spot. Although it is interesting to note that notwithstanding that there are some magnificent beaches south of Tel Aviv, luxury spots in Israel, at least those linked to beach exposure, tend to be located from Tel Aviv and to the north.

Israel is a tiny country blessed with a magnificent coastline along much of its western border and it is here that much Israel luxury real estate is located.
Tel Aviv has everything you could hope for from a young, vibrant city – great restaurants, incredible nightlife, excellent cafes, galleries, and the pulsating energy that only youth can bring to a city. And a spell in Tel Aviv is a rite of passage for many young Israelis looking to sow their wild oats following a spell in the army.
It is approximately 15 minutes drive north of Tel Aviv though that you will find the real hoi polloi of Israeli society. The suburb of Herzliya Pituach is a beachside suburb that has beaches that are arguably finer than those of Tel Aviv yet has more mature socio-economic inhabitants. Embassies and the homes of ambassadors are located in the tree-lined streets of Herzliya Pituach as is a population of high net worth expatriates who either have bought a second home in this luxury spot or have decided to make Herzliya Pituach their primary address. The neighboring suburb of Kfar Shmaryahu holds a similar cache to Herzliya Pituach even though it is located a bit further from the beach.
Just keep driving north and sticking to the western coast and the luxury spots continue to reveal themselves. Arsuf was until recently a gated community with effectively its own private beach. Home to the ultra-wealthy such as diamond and mining magnate Benny Steinmetz, this cul-de-sac of large properties is for these who love pristine coastline with a touch of privacy.
A little further up the road and you have Beit Yanai and Michmoret. Located on a cliff face with wonderful ocean views and beautiful beaches, the love of the beach comes to the fore once again.
Fancy a round of golf or perhaps rubbing elbows with the Israeli PM or perhaps comparing tax havens with a Russian oligarch, then head for Caesarea. Oh, did I forget to mention that there is a pretty mean beach there also? But who needs that when you have an Olympic size swimming pool?
Israel even caters for those who aren’t beach fiends in the form of Savyon, a tiny suburb located about 20 minutes inland of the coast from Tel Aviv. The suburb may be small but the houses and their prices aren’t. Jerusalem also has some prime property near the holy sites and in other areas frequented by wealthy foreigners such as the German Quarter.
