Aruba Marriott Resort opens Tradewinds Club, an intimate hotel experience wrapped in a resort setting
PALM BEACH, ARUBA (September 1, 2008) The Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino officially opened the Tradewinds Club, a new concept designed with today’s modern traveler in mind, on September 1. During the current $40 million renovation the necessary enhancements were made to turn the 8th floor of the Aruba Marriott Resort in to the Tradewinds Club. This hotel within a hotel initiative, introduces a boutique hotel experience in a resort setting that provides for personalized service and exclusive amenities.
“We are a brand name hotel that can provide a boutique experience. Travelers have the comfort of knowing they are staying with a familiar North American brand, but getting the intimate level of service they desire from a smaller property,” stated General Manager Rick Zeolla. “Creating the Tradewinds Club is our way of giving the consumer what they desire without having to completely abandon the familiarity of the resort experience. Our goal is for these guests to feel like they are a part of an exclusive club with all the amenities of a larger resort at their disposal.”
The Tradewinds Club experience begins even before arrival in Aruba, as a staff member will contact guests for confirmation of advanced reservations and airline info. Upon arrival at the Aruba Marriott Resort, guests can bypass the main lobby and check in to the hotel via the Tradewinds Club Lounge, a private 1900 sq. ft. lounge area with a 200 sq. ft. terrace, accessible only to Tradewinds Club guests. Once checked in to any of the 59 rooms tucked away on the 8th floor, patrons will find their accommodations fitted with upgraded bathroom amenities, deluxe robes and slippers and a “pillow menu”.
For the duration of a stay at the Tradewinds Club, guests can enjoy exclusive privileges throughout the resort such as vacation planning services, unpacking, pressing and packing assistance upon request and preferred spa and restaurant reservations made by the dedicated concierge staff. Additionally, gourmet selections are served five times daily in the Executive Lounge – breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, Discovery Hour (drinks and tastes from the resort’s restaurants) and cheese & pastries in the evenings. There is an open bar serving juices and soft drinks throughout the day and alcoholic beverages in the evening. A secluded area of the beach is especially reserved for Tradewinds Club guests only. Complimentary Internet access is also provided in the Lounge along with a DVD player and a library of CDs, books, games and newspapers.
“Perks, privileges and privacy are all part of the Tradewinds Club experience - from start to finish guests will enjoy personal attention and amenities and be a part of something fresh, exclusive and original,” Zeolla said.
Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino boasts 411 fully renovated guestrooms -- the most spacious on the island and each with large, private balconies overlooking lush landscape and the sparkling waters of the Caribbean Sea. On property, seven restaurants and cafes provide fare from light to elegant, while the largest casino in Aruba, a 6,500 square-foot Mandara spa, free-form swimming pool with cascading waterfalls and high-energy health club offer entertaining diversions.
