Mercedes, Texas (day 2)

Tuesday March 31…11:00pm

I spent most of the day researching my tires on the internet. The size for our motorhome is a 7.50R16, which is an oddball size that is very difficult to get. There is a comparable size in the newer metric standard, P235/85R16, but most sources mentioned that they are slightly wider and will possibly touch the sidewalls of each other on the rear. I finally found some trustworthy info that said it would be okay to use the slightly narrower P215/85R16 and the local Goodyear dealer confirmed that this is the way to go. So I have an appointment to bring it in tomorrow morning at 9:30am. Then on Thursday, I will get new springs and a wheel alignment on the front end.

- Nothing New
I wish I could call up the energy to get myself to the grocery.  The last time I shopped I bought some individual size (3.6 oz) cups of Haagen Dazs ice cream - a perfect size for a snack or dessert.  I'm out of them and think I'll just...

- New Tires
This morning I got two new rear tires for the Highlander, and a wheel alignment (haven't had one since I bought the car).  I asked for and got USA manufactured tires!  They didn't reset the tire pressure monitoring system properly so...

- And More Rain!
I didn't even leave the house today except for Lady's two dog walks. This morning we both made new friends - a lady with a little beagle type dog often walks on the other side of the street, and we wave and exchange greetings. Her dog has a really...
