Thirteen bloggers and one videographer will arrive in Mauritius from around the world on 20th September, in order to promote Mauritius as an attractive tourist destination. By following the hashtag #MyMauritius on social media channels such as Twitter, facebook and Instagram, people around the world will have an opportunity to become acquainted with the varied attractions of Mauritius through just a click of a button.
#MyMauritius promises to be the largest travel blogger and social media tourism campaign that this island nation in the Indian Ocean has ever organised. The bloggers, arriving from Europe, South Africa, Canada and China, will share their experiences live throughout their stay, which will be from the 23rd to the 30th September, via their social media channels, thereby reaching their followers worldwide in real-time.
After their visit they will continue to write about Mauritius over the following two months, through quality articles, videos and photographs, which will be posted on their blogs, highlighting their experiences in Mauritius and providing great trip ideas and tips for anyone visiting the country. Follow the #MyMauritius to keep track of all that will be posted. A #MyMauritius microsite, which will contain the highlights of their Mauritian adventure, has already been created.
