Passing Our Days in Aruba

Friday we we on the beach by about 4 pm. Hit the pool before coming back to the room for showers before heading to Gasparito's for dinner.

Elvina was so surprised, but of course happy about C. She had an inkling something was up since we were not there last year. I was asleep by 9:30 pm. C. was also tired and on overload. When the island first appeared from the plane and she saw the pretty blue water she was just speechless. She is still overwhelmed. But everyday she gets a little better.

Yesterday, Saturday was just a day on the beach. In the afternoon dh and C. went on a tube ride. Those oversized tubes pulled by the power boats....C. putted around in the ocean with the mask and snorkel. She has been doing really well with her swimming and is not complaining as much about the salt water as she has in the past. As hard as I tried, she still got sunburned on her back yesterday. She was flagged from going in the water today 11 am - 2 pm and the rest of the time she had to wear one of dh's t-shirts, which on her is like a long sleeved long dress. Tomorrow we are renting a 4 x 4 to ride around the island. Tuesday we are going on a snorkel sail aboard the Tranquilo with 2 stops and lunch.

- Our Day On Tranquilo In Aruba
Tranquilo Famous South Side Lunch Cruise This ranks among our top four things to do. Last year we had an enjoyable time on Jolly Pirates and this year it was time to show the kids in our group what “real” sailing was like and some different snorkeling...

- Review Jolly Pirates Aruba
Along with our friends and their two daughters we took the "Sail, Snorkel and Swim" excursion with Jolly Pirates. It was a nice day and the kids especially had fun. Most of our boat was filled with a family attending a wedding in Aruba and they were having...

- Our Upcoming Trip To Aruba
Wow! Lots of activities for our upcoming trip. C.'s first Aruba snorkel excursion was on the Tranquilo. This time we thought she might enjoy something a little less sedate and a lot less serious by taking the "Sail, Snorkel, Swim & Swing " with...

- Is One Week In Aruba Too Short?
It really is going to depend on how much you like Aruba. Admittedly not everyone falls in love with the place as much as some of us others do ....too windy, not tropical enough, not lush enough...the list could go on, but I will instead list the positive...

- Sail Tranquilo Aruba
We sailed aboard the 43 foot sailboat, Tranquilo in September. They offer a couple of different types of sailing excursions. We chose to do a 6 hour Lunch/Day Sail/Snorkel Tour. Unfortunately we awoke that morning to pouring rain. In 14 trips to Aruba...
