Photos of Plastic Food Samples in Japan
I heard about the plastic food samples traditionally displayed in the restaurant windows from Japan long before visiting this country. But I never expected them to look so delicious. They are part of the Japanese lifestyle, they are quirky and, as we don't speak Japanese, they surely made our life in Japan easier.
Looking at some of them made my mouth water; and I more than once questioned my taste knowing I was drooling at the sight of plastic. It is amazing just how good these plastic food samples can look. It happened more than once that we were drawn inside a restaurant because of them. Plus what you see is what you get, just full flavored and with real ingredients. Believe me, plastic has never looked so tasty!
