VIDEO: Travel Memories from Bali
It's been exactly one year since my husband and I visited Bali, and this video by Stephan Kot reminds me of all the beautiful and relaxing moments we lived there, the lush green of the rice fields, all the pretty flowers, the traditional dances infused with modern beats, and the gorgeous, if decaying architecture. The thought of it makes me want to go back so badly... in spite of the nearly unbearable heat and humidity, the mosquitoes, giant ants and the strong cultural tradition of haggling.
One week wasn't nearly enough for a thorough exploration of the Island of Gods, but we did get to see Ubud - the cultural and artistic center of Bali, and some of the most amazing temples that ever sprouted from human imagination.
Oh, and we also stayed at Kamandalu Resort, the most beautiful and fascinating resort one can possibly imagine, built with views over the jungle and in the image of a traditional, yet incredibly luxurious Balinese village. It was from the infinity pool here that we saw wild monkeys for the very first time. Mating! The bashful little creatures ran away the moment they saw us, making us feel bad for disturbing their rituals. However, a couple of days later, in an act of vendetta, they actually tried to steal my glasses at Tanah Lot Temple! Treacherous cute little thieves!

Grand Mirage Resort, Bali. An All-inclusive Heaven
As we arrived at Grand Mirage Resort in Bali, we were welcomed with two ice-cold orange juices. It was extremely hot and the humidity levels were off the charts (at least that's how it felt to us) and sipping the refreshing drinks certainly was a...
