What Will Ritz Aruba Pricing Look Like?

Aruba Bound

There are many guesses surrounding potential pricing for the Ritz Aruba. I tried to break down what pricing may look like based upon pricing prices at a comparable island, Grand Cayman, and used pricing for the Ritz Grand Cayman.

All prices in USD, PER NIGHT & Include ALL taxes & DAILY resort fee of $50 USD "added to rate includes high speed Internet access/valet parking/water activities and more!"

LOW SEASON
Guest room NO view $602.27
Oceanfront $786.77
1 Bedroom Suite (cheapest suite) golf course view $1,042.77
2 Bedroom Presidential Suite, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms- sleeps 6 1858 sq ft interior, 1346 sq ft outdoor space $3,494 per night

LOW LOW SEASON
Guest room, Garden view (least expensive available) $540.77
1 Bedroom Suite (cheapest suite) golf course view $1,032.77
2 Bedroom Presidential Suite, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms $3,494

HIGH HIGH SEASON (Christmas)
Prices are PER NIGHT
Guest room, Garden view (least expensive available) $1,352.57 USD per night
Oceanfront $2,016.77 per night
1 Bedroom Suite (cheapest suite) golf course view $3,125
2 Bedroom Presidential Suite, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms- $10,874

HIGH Season rates 2014 start at $946.67

The bad news-
It looks like minimum 10 night stay at Christmas/New Years and 7 night at Thanksgiving. Breakfast buffet is $40 per person or $160 for a family of 4.

The good news-
It looks like they do not charge an "extra person" rate per room as long as the room can accommodate the specified number of guests. So in other words, that 2 br, 2 bath Presidential Suite at those prices above will accommodate up to 6 people. Their 3 bedroom, 3 bath suite accommodates 8 but is "only" 2160 sq ft. with a terrace and not an "outdoor space".

You do not have to leave Fifi at home, "pets welcome up to 30 lbs./13.6 kg non-refundable sanitation fee $150". :) Pets welcome up to 30 lbs/13.6 kg non-refundable sanitation fee 150 USD

Also... either the price of the fee is incorrect on their website, or it has recently been increased, but some of the comments from TripAdvisor… "What travelers say “Resort fee”"

  • Internet: The $45 daily resort fee includes internet for multiple devices. It worked great even on the beach.
  • Water sports equipment, valet Parking, internet access, morning coffee/tea/hot cocoa included in resort fee worked out well for us.
  • Wireless internet (included with the resort fee - which I am now a fan of) was available at the beach and the pool area.
  • We went paddle boarding and kayaking, plus made use of the floats which are anchored in the water - water bed, connected table and chairs and a circular pool hammock. All were included in the resort fee.
  • There is the $45 per day resort fee (although this does not include sailing lessons as advertised), and we made good use of the sea kayak and snorkel gear 'rentals'.
  • I've seen some complaints about the $45 / night resort fee, but we used the valet parking, free wifi (2 iPhones, 2 iPads and a laptop), free morning coffee and use of non-motorized water sports gizmos which is all covered by the resort fee. Some properties would have charged $15 / device for wifi alone. Anyhow, you get what you pay for. In the end, we got value from the resort fee.
  • The view from the outdoor seating makes you feel like you are in Italy. Finally the Spa/Fitness Center at the Ritz was worth the $45 resort fee. To notch equipment and amenities. Spa, Steam Room, Sauna, Massage, Robes, Towels, Showers, Slippers. You will not want to leave the Spa!
  • a $45/day resort fee includes complimentary snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards, internet, water, chairs, towels, etc.
  • Resort fee: $45/ day included free wifi and use of their laptops, entrance to the spa and fitness center (has everything you need for a complete workout) free valet and DVD movie library, there maybe more but this was what we noticed...
  • We went paddle boarding and kayaking, plus made use of the floats which are anchored in the water - water bed, connected table and chairs and a circular pool hammock. All were included in the resort fee.
