Another great sleep in the jungle! We were ready to go by 7:15am or so because we wanted to get past the unbelievable traffic that is now at Playa Del Carmen and beyond, plus we wanted to get to the beach campground before anybody else showed up because we knew that when we left yesterday there were only two spots left.

- We're Hitting The Road...
Yesterday was market day, and then I had my final dentist appointment at 1:00pm. I wanted to have some lunch before my appointment, and of course brush my teeth before going, so that meant two trips into town. But we haven't had much exercise this...
- Hacienda Contreras, Near Valle De Juarez
We didn't set the alarm Friday night because we knew we needed a good nights sleep. But we also wanted to do a long drive Saturday and so we wanted to get a fairly early start. Turned out we got a good sleep and we were on the road just before 9:00am....
- Return To Puerto Escondido
We pulled out of our spot at Playa Zipolite at 7:15am. We wanted to make it throught the tight streets of Mazunte before there was any traffic, and we did okay. Still, the first 8 kms (5 miles) or so was pretty slow going. Click here to read more......
- Tecolote Beach (day 2)
Saturday January 12...11:00pm Had a good sleep and woke up listening to the waves crash up on the beach. We're parked about 30 metres from the shoreline and have a beautiful view of the bay out our window. We can watch the different ferry boats coming...
