Nothing much happening here - I've tried to get out at least once a day to shop for groceries and other items.  I bought an electronic programmable thermostat which Steve is planning to install tomorrow and which should save me on the utility bills.  I will set it way back at night and about 65 during the day, which is where I have the current one set.

Steve is also going to bring over a leather rocker/recliner and I can't wait.  I've wanted one since I moved here over a year ago.  The old fabric LazyBoy has served me ok - Yvonne left it here when she left - but it looks very old and faded.

I've decided to go ahead and get a flu shot although I sure hate to do it.

It has been so nice to have sunny days for a while but looks like tomorrow afternoon we'll get more rain.  It hasn't warmed up enough the past couple of weeks for me to get out and pull some of the grass & weeds that the rains have already brought on.

Joe stopped in with his girls yesterday - his classes don't start until the end of this month so he went snowboarding today, and will take Sarah and the girls to Disneyland next week.  He's suggested we could take a drive to the Redwoods while he's off - anything to get out of the city is fine with me.  I haven't been to the Redwoods since the 1980's!

Joe told me he had to put his beloved dobie, Chili, to sleep a couple of days before.  She was 14 yrs old and had developed many tumors over the past couple of years.  She was a beautiful dog and probably the most intelligent dog I have ever met.  He said she made a last patrol around the yard on that day, and though she was in pain and barely able to walk she managed to actually run that last time.  She will be missed by all of us.  She and Lady had a sort of truce between them, but neither of them had much use for the other. Females!

I walked with Jeannie earlier this week and thought I did really well - kept up with her at least.  Then after about a half hour I decided to sit out a couple of laps.  Well, she took off and I can't believe how fast she was walking.  She alternated the power walking with jogging - and I was impressed.  She is certainly in her prime!

Time to fix my supper.  Y'all have a good weekend.

- Nurse Gypsy Reporting
I stayed at Jeannie's house last night so I could be up early and have her to the dentist office at 7:10.  We were there for about two hours, then went to Kaiser Permanente to get her pain med Rx filled.  For certain drugs they now require...

- I Love Getting Company
Last night Steve called me on his way back from Berkeley where he had been attending business meetings, and wanted to know if I would like to go to the grocery.  Of course I did, and picked up a lot of good stuff at Bel Air. This morning Jeannie...

I haven't posted for a couple of days because I haven't been feeling very well, but also had troubles linking to Donald's WiFi.  He fixed that for me this evening so I just wanted to write a short post. I am anxious for my post op which...

- The Primer Is On
Between Jeannie and me, mostly Jeannie, we got the primer on ceiling and walls.  We even did the wall that needs to be replaced, because I won't have the money to do the job right for another year and will just go with what is there.  Strategically...

My youngest son stopped by with his two girls this morning, and it was great to see them.  They went to Disneyland last week and the girls had a lot to tell me about the rides they went on.  Joe starts back to school next Tuesday. I spent a...
