24 Hours in Antwerp, Belgium

Antwerp is one of the prettiest cities in Belgium, and we were really happy for the chance to visit it again as part of the #ParkinnExpress challenge.

We arrived at Antwerp Central Station, one of the most beautiful train stations in the world if not the most beautiful (I dare you to name a prettier one!), eager to spot the differences and discover the many ways this Flemish city has changed in the past decade.

The majestic, state of the art building of the railway station is situated smack down in the Diamond District and it is reminiscent of a cathedral rather than a public transport hub. It was finished in the early years of the 20th century and it features various marble types, amazing iron-work and platforms on 3 levels! It's impossible not to be amazed. Being here is easy to get the feeling that life is a journey and you'd better not miss your train.

- Copper Canyon Train - What A Spectacular Day!

- Leuven. A Young Belgian City With A Long History
Arenberg Castle Isn't it amazing when you get to visit a place that seems to have sprung out of nowhere? For many, the only cities on Belgium's tourist map are Brussels, Gent, Antwerp and Bruges. Almost nobody talks about Leuven, yet it is one...

- The Love Nest At Scandic Hotel In Antwerp
We arrived at Scandic Antwerp together with the sunset. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city, but it's actually very well connected with the centre. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the Joe English tram stop is a...

- Tomorrowland. Belgium's Craziest Music Festival
With many festivals all year round, there is almost no bad or boring time to visit Belgium. Other than the traditional festivals like Easter, Carnical de Binche, Cavalcade of Herve and Ommegang Festival, there are other more modern and popular festivals...

- From Oslo To Bergen & Some Nice Surprises Awaiting Us Upon Arrival
It was the 17th day of our Interrail trip... We left Oslo for Bergen in the morning... The train rushed by lakes, lonely wooden houses, streams, waterfalls, enchanted forests, snow covered mountains and through never-ending tunnels, for 7 beautiful...
