24 Hours in Antwerp, Belgium
Antwerp is one of the prettiest cities in Belgium, and we were really happy for the chance to visit it again as part of the #ParkinnExpress challenge.
We arrived at Antwerp Central Station, one of the most beautiful train stations in the world if not the most beautiful (I dare you to name a prettier one!), eager to spot the differences and discover the many ways this Flemish city has changed in the past decade.
The majestic, state of the art building of the railway station is situated smack down in the Diamond District and it is reminiscent of a cathedral rather than a public transport hub. It was finished in the early years of the 20th century and it features various marble types, amazing iron-work and platforms on 3 levels! It's impossible not to be amazed. Being here is easy to get the feeling that life is a journey and you'd better not miss your train.
