Tomorrowland. Belgium's Craziest Music Festival

With many festivals all year round, there is almost no bad or boring time to visit Belgium. Other than the traditional festivals like Easter, Carnical de Binche, Cavalcade of Herve and Ommegang Festival, there are other more modern and popular festivals that celebrate music belonging to a wide variety of genres. The music festivals start in April and go all the way to September. Most of the popular festivals like Rock Werchter, Grasspop Metal Meeting and Suikerrock majorly revolve around rock and heavy metal music. A standout from the crowd of rock festivals is the electronic dance music festival, Tomorrowland.

The Tomorrowland festival started in 2005 with just 10,000 visitors. However, fast forward to 2012, it has seen an increase of up to 200,000 people. Tomorrowland is a festival that celebrates electronic music; and has amazing performers like LMFAO, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Bob Sinclair, Fatboy Slim and Tiesto play in front of huge crowds.

The festival takes place in a town called Boom, which is close to Antwerp in Belgium. The festival lasted only a day when it was hosted for the first time. It slowly expanded to two days and now, the music mayhem lasts a full three days. The festival will be taking place from the 26th to the 29th of July, this year. The immense popularity of the festival resulted in all the tickets getting sold out within an hour and a half. The organisers of the festival have also partnered with over 25 airlines to provide exclusive packages to bring as many music fans as possible to Brussels for the Tomorrowland festival.

Planes aren’t the only means of getting to Belgium; ferries are also an excellent and scenic way to get to Belgium. P&O Ferries provide a very luxurious and beautiful experience to tourists travelling from the UK to Belgium. The ferry takes port at Zeebrugge, which has excellent connectivity and is also located in the same region, called Flanders, known as the town of Boom.

The ferry has some excellent entertainment facilities in the form of a casino, with a number of bars and restaurants also being on-board. The journey takes place overnight; it departs at around half past 6 and reaches Belgium comfortably at around 9. Experience an amazing ferry ride while on the way to the greatest Electric Music Festival on Earth.
