The traditional donkey Walkathon, the 6 K walk through the gorgeous Aruban countryside will be held on January 16. This time a new route will be followed: the starting point is the donkey sanctuary's new location Bringamosa, where some 70 donkeys already find a home. Bringamosa is easy to find: coming from Santa Cruz you take the turn towards the Frenchman's Pass and then the signs will lead you to the sanctuary. Participants can register at the entrance starting from 4 pm; the start of the Walkathon is at 5. Runners as well as walkers are welcome to join the beautiful trip through the Aruban countryside.
Participants will be joined by several quadrupeds, of course: some of our donkeys love the Walkathon. The fee is ten florins per person and this amount goes entirely towards the donkey sanctuary. Sponsor SuperFood is taking care of fresh fruit at the finish and each participant also gets a small gift.
Reasons enough to walk along with us, make a good start of a healthy year and meet some really nice people along the way.
