Better Sound with Custom One Pro Headphones

When traveling you might not be able to take with you the Hi-Fi audio system from home, but you can definitely use some high quality headphones. Keeping this in mind I decided to take the Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Headphones out for a spin.

The Custom One Pro Headphones, as the name says it, are highly customisable. Even in their stock form, a metal frame, metal ear cups, metal y-forks and a removable 2.5mm connector give the 'Made in Germany' set a premium feel. But what creates the real difference are the changing elements like the earpads, headband or even the faceplates with either a pre-made design or a blank plate that you can laser tech later.

The Custom One Pro Headphones are great for any music lover who prefers over-the-ear, cushioned ear pads. The fit is plush, comfortable, and secure. Sound leakage is not a real issue at rational listening levels, which makes it unlikely to disturb those who happen to be nearby. We also found them to remain comfortable over long listening sessions.

The cable on the Custom One Pro Headphones is removable. This increases the overall value of the headphones tremendously, since the headphones don't need to be replaced in case the cable wears out or malfunctions. Besides the removable cable, they also come with a 1/4-inch headphone adapter.

The most important thing that I love about these headphones is that I can "custom" their sound. I can adjust the bass response. There are sound sliders on each ear—at position one, they offer no less then four options of bass, the sound profiles ranging from analytic to “heavy bass”. I find this to be the strongest feature of these headphones. They truly deliver solid, clean performance, and an adjustable sound signature in an easy-to-control manner.
