How to Make the Most of Your Holiday in Sharm el Sheikh

Sharm el Sheikh is one of the most modern, lively and welcoming locations on the Red Sea. The regular sunshine, beautiful locations and numerous activities mean that Sharm el Sheikh is a popular spot for tourists, but there are still plenty of locations that can give you some peace and tranquillity when you need to unwind. Here, we will take a look at some of the main reasons you should spend some time on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

Sharm el Sheikh Activities

The coastline spans approximately 35 km, which makes it a perfect place to enjoy activities like scuba diving, snorkelling, yachting and swimming. People travel from around the world to swim in this glorious region of the Red Sea, with some of the most incredible underwater sites available to you. Whether you want to just enjoy the beaches and clear water, or if you prefer a more adventurous diving experience, the coast of Sharm el Sheikh is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Away from the water, the Sinai desert can also offer some great experiences. There are various safari trips, camel rides and quad bike excursions that can show you another side to the region. These are great for anybody looking to see some fascinating canyons, dunes, landscapes and wildlife, either at a fairly sedate pace or the more challenging options for hikers.

Sharm el Sheikh Nightlife

You won't struggle for things to do in the evenings here, with a lively and upbeat atmosphere found in most places. Most hotels will offer entertainment, food and bars, but if you want a change from your resort you can find plenty of options.

The Pacha nightclub is one the most popular venues, featuring famous DJ's, a well stocked bar and plenty of fun. If you want to add to the experience, you could always hire the Pacha boat which will sail into the Red Sea to continue the party. There are plenty of other bars and clubs, such as Little Buddha and Space, and you won't struggle to find a place to party.

Soho Square is a large complex offering a number of different facilities. You can go ice skating, bowling, enjoy a meal and visit a bar, all from the same location close to the airport. If you would prefer a quiet night instead, try one of the many restaurants in Sharm el Sheikh. All tastes are catered for, including the excellent local cuisine, British, Mexican, Italian and many other choices.

Sharm el Sheikh Accommodation

Due to the popularity of the region, there are many hotels and resorts to appeal to the varying tastes of visitors. One of the most impressive examples is the Grand Hotel found in the Ras Um Sid area. The location and facilities are absolutely stunning, as you would hope for in a 5 star accommodation, and they offer enough quality food and entertainment that you could spend your whole holiday there.

The Hilton Sharm Dreams Resort is another popular choice, featuring seven swimming pools, 3 exceptional restaurants and a family-friendly vibe. If you want to have a relaxing holiday, the Ghazala Gardens Hotel in Naama Bay might be the perfect choice, whereas the Ghazala Beach Hotel may be more suited for those looking for a stimulating trip with plenty of bars, nightclubs and activities nearby.

This is just a brief look at Sharm el Sheikh, with much more to see and do during a short break or longer holiday. The climate, facilities, people and places ensure that many people keep coming back year after year, and when you have experienced the region you may well join them.
