Rediscovering the Childhood Joys at Disneyland Resort Paris

Last summer I was invited (I am lucky, I know) to spend few days at the Disneyland Resort Paris with people who were soon going to become my family, but that is another story.

I arrived to Disneyland on an early August morning, ready to enjoy the rides, meet Daisy and Donald and dance on the notes of “Once Upon a Dream”. I was overexcited!

I have always thought that a Disneyland-experience had to be expensive by definition, but I was surprisingly proved wrong. It is actually very easy to find family or group offers and with few other arrangements you can enjoy Mickey's company with no further worries! For example, I stayed at the Disneyland's Davy Crockett Ranch bungalow instead of a Disneyland hotel. Eating in Disneyland can be expensive as well so choose among the restaurants with care, and nobody is forcing you to have lunch in the park either. And last but not least, souvenirs are very expensive, but it is a unique experience and if you can resist buying a pair of Minnie ears or a Mickey Mouse glove than you are not human!

Once you have your tickets in hand and you leave the financial issue on the side it is time to absolutely enjoy Disneyland! There is so much to tell about it! It is not just about the park, it is not just about meeting your favourite characters; the park is surrounded by a whole Disney-atmosphere that projects you in a fairytale! After few hours (I admit, minutes) you will believe that Snow White is hiding in the woods and that Goofy is making a mess somewhere around the corner. Mickey Mouse is meeting fans in front of his house while The Incredibles are showing off their powers and you will find yourself dancing instead of walking.

Whether you are three or 83 you feel thrilled when you unexpectedly meet a Disney character walking next to you and waving. Having fun is the only thing on the to-do list and with all the amazing rides you can find in the park you will surely have you mission accomplished! The parades are outstanding, especially the evening one with fireworks above Sleeping Beauty's Castle, an explosion of energy!

I have been a fan of Disney since I was a child and a trip to the Disneyland Resort Paris was not simply a dream come true, but a fairytale coming to life!

Disneyland is an injection of happiness and joy! Everybody is smiling, kind and helpful and you will soon forget that there is a world outside. You will feel Montmatre is light years away. In Disneyland you rediscover the cheerfulness of being a child, you live the magic with sparks in your eyes! To get to Disneyland Resort Paris just follow the white rabbit.
