Sleep In Your Own Egg Shaped Hotel
The 24 years old Beijing architect Dai Haifei came up with an ingenious way of living rent free and even more, location free. His egg shaped, sun powered house design is said to fit easily on the sidewalk; on a generous Beijing sidewalk, not on a narrow European sidewalk anyways. The mobile house is made out of bamboo strips and covered in sack bags with grass seed that together with the solar panel definitely give the adobe a modern eco look. This pod literarily puts a roof on top of your head but it stops pretty much there. It clearly has safety issues and might not keep you very warm during a cold winter night, not to mention that The Flintstones had better facilities than this, but for only $1,000 it can be yours forever. If you don't mind sleeping in a cocoon, this might be a good investment. Just think about Tokyo's creepy capsule hotels and decide for yourself. However, if you are claustrophobic, you might want to take into consideration more traditional ways of spending the night...
