10 Most Magical Castles In Europe

Perhaps the most famous castles of all are the ones that never existed, like Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty's castles. Yet, our imagination is rooted in reality, and the fairy tale castles we all know and love have been inspired from real castles, nevertheless magical.

Princesses and kings have lived fabulous lives in these stunning places. In some of them, knights have rotten in underwater prisons. Others drove their owners mad. Some are still inhabited today. But whatever their story, these castles feed our imagination, fascinate us and never seize to amaze us.

I have visited them all and loved them all. Have you visited any of these castles?
