Were you ever wondering about what places you would visit if you could step into any sci-fi world that you have read about, watched on the silver screen or in the comfort of your own home on TV? Well, here is my own list.
Suraya Bay of Risa
Suraya Bay is a coastal resort on the tourist planet Risa, known for having villas built right into the cliffs. The Risian celebration known as Lohlunat, the Festival of the Moon, is celebrated at Suraya Bay. Risa, also known as the "pleasure planet", is an M-class planet located in a binary star system, with two moons. Risa is located about ninety light years from Earth, and is homeworld of the Risians and a member of the Federation. Originally a dismal, rain-soaked, and geologically unstable jungle planet plagued by violent earthquakes, the native Risans transformed their world with a technologically sophisticated weather control network that provided nearly constantly desirable weather, and seismic regulators to eliminate the geological instability for optimum tourist comfort.
TV Series: Star Trek
Theed of Naboo
Naboo is a planet with a mostly green terrain, the homeworld of two societies: the Gungans who live in underwater cities and the humans who can be found in cities on the surface. The main city and capital of Naboo is Theed. Located in the Chommell sector, Naboo is the home planet of Padmé Amidala, Jar Jar Binks, and Senator/Chancellor/Emperor Palpatine.
The Naboo System is located in the Chommel Sector, a region in the galactic Mid-Rim. Planet Naboo is the third planet of the star system that shares the same name. The Naboo system comprises five planets, namely Moth (Venus type), Erep (Venus type), Naboo (Earth type), Widow (Mars type) and Storm (Jupiter type). The planet Naboo has three moons: Ohma D'un, Rori and Tasia. Tasia, an ice moon, is the only Naboo moon to be seen in the entire Star Wars saga. Ohma D'un is a water moon and Rori is a brownish swamp moon.
Movies: Star Wars Episode I, II, III
Cala City of Caladan
Cala City is the capital of Caladan, the third planet of Delta Pavonis, is the ancestral home of House Atreides, who have ruled it for twenty-six generations, from the ancient Castle Caladan. An ocean planet, Caladan's surface is predominantly covered with water; its climate is characterized by much precipitation and strong winds, but is tolerable enough to make special and expensive weather control measures unnecessary. Habitable land is often characterized by soft meadows, swamps, and dense forests. The resource base of Caladan consists mainly of agriculture and biomass, with fishing and the locally grown pundi rice serving as the primary sources of sustenance for its people. Other traditional products include wine, whale fur, corals, certain gemstones, and livestock, most prominently thorses and cattle.
