Amazing Views and Irresistible Souvenirs in Bergen

Just as we left the Hanseatic Museum and crossed the street on the opposite side of Bryggen, we got face to face with this cute little train. We've never taken a touristic train like this before, not because we have anything against the super touristic attractions, on the contrary, but I guess the opportunity never arose like this before. There was a young lady in front of Siri trying to sell tickets for the next ride and as it was included in the Bergen Card and I wasn't having the best mornings of my life, we decided to give it a try.

The ride lasted almost an hour, time during which we rested and listened the history of the city and the neighborhoods we were passing by via an audio guide. This is when we got the idea that a funicular ride on top of Mount Floyen should be in place for the next day.

Siri left us the same place it took us, hence by the harbor, and as it wasn't lunch time just yet, we decided to stroll a bit through the open market nearby.

While the market is not big at all, we found plenty of shopping opportunities nevertheless, from cute troll and viking souvenirs, till furs and wool hats and sweaters. Some of the merchandise here would make for great Christmas gifts and I've actually got a few ideas for this year's holiday season.

Next we headed for the fish market, just across the street...

- Fish Your Food At Bergen Fish Market
After visiting the souvenir market, we went to the fish market just across the street. The fish market is situated by the harbor and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bryggen, and though it wasn't as huge as we expected it to be, I believe its charm...
