Halloween At Disneyland. Spooktacular Halloween Parties For All Ages
Halloween at Disneyland is one of those very special times of the year when the parks get decorated with Mickey like carved, not so spooky pumpkins and there is a festive mood in the air. In the past years, Halloween has come to rival Christmas with the number of decorations and holiday overlays at Disneyland so there is no wonder that there are separate tickets for the Halloween parties. Sometimes I just wish I were a kid again. Nowadays there are way more opportunities for the little ones than were 20-30 years ago and Halloween got so much more popular meanwhile...
At Magic Kingdom Park in Orlando, Florida, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is the ultimate Disney event. The special party has less frights and more delights and takes place from 7 p.m. to midnight on 24 select nights from mid September till the 1st of November. Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and they are given trick-or-treat bags to be used at the candy stations found throughout the Magic Kingdom.
This is a kids-friendly "spooky" party and everyone can enjoy Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade - a themed parade starring all of your favorite Disney characters (the Haunted Mansion float is the best!), and the Happy HalloWishes - a spectacular Halloween fireworks show in which the Disney villains go trick-or-treating in the sky. Face painting is available for children in Toontown, located across from Pete's Garage. The face painting station is always there, but there's no charge during the Party!
At
Disneyland Park in California, Mickey's Halloween Party comes up with live music and a three-hour Disney's Happiest Haunts tour. Spooky events take place in the park as some rides get haunted. Oversized pumpkin versions of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy are on display all over the park. Actually, right from the entrance you are greeted by the famous ‘Mickey Planter’ transformed into a canvas of pumpkins. In Town Square there's the 12 foot high Mickey ‘jack-o-lantern’ complete with pumpkin ears. The Main Street is the site of the Pumpkin Festival and, of course, the Disney Villains are out in full force to celebrate their favorite time of the year.
Wonderfully scary Halloween celebrations take place at Disneyland Paris too. Mickey and Minnie welcome visitors in their spooky outfits and on the night of 31st of October the whole family can enjoy the thrilling extravaganza of Disney's Halloween Party at pumpkin light. Disneyland Paris promises spook-tacular nights that will light up your family's faces with a great big jack-o-lantern grin. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place during selected nights when the whole park becomes a huge costume party.
