Hotel Premium, Bratislava. Quiet and Relaxing Atmosphere

We are no experts on Eastern Europe and even less on Slovakia. We've just been there once, during our InterRail trip this summer, and only visited Bratislava, the capital. We didn't know what to expect and we certainly didn't think we would stumble upon this radiant yet quiet city. Bratislava simply grew on us as the hours passed by and we now highly recommend it to everybody.

Location

During our short visit to the Slovak capital, we stayed at Hotel Premium, a nice hotel situated in a residential area, only a few tram stops away from the city center. The staff was very nice and spoke perfect English and they pointed us to the nearby tram station, only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. But as we soon discovered, the trams of Bratislava are super cute, all painted in red, and we greatly enjoyed riding them.

Our Room

First thing we did upon arrival was enjoying the air con for a couple of hours. The weather was terribly hot, way hotter that we expected the Slovak summer to be, and the cool room waiting for us was bliss. We took advantage of the free high speed internet available in the room (and in all common areas of the hotel as a matter of fact) and spend some time online in our spacious room.

We couldn't stop noticing just how quiet it was. There was virtually no traffic in the vicinity of the hotel and this made it an oasis of peace and quiet.

The Lobby & Sauna

The lobby was beautifully decorated with super comfortable leather chairs and sofas, green plants, and some very lucky bamboo. And I just loved how much natural light the huge windows let pass through. This was the perfect place to socialize in the evening.

The spa and sauna of Hotel Premium were THE place to relax and forget all worries. As was the terrace were delicious foods from their Oliva Restaurant were served.

Breakfast

In the morning we had a delicious breakfast in this gorgeous space. I always find the combination of white and green very refreshing. The room had two glass walls and some very comfortable chairs.

The buffet breakfast was nicely presented and simply yummy. I like starting the day with pancakes and fresh orange juice, and I was very pleased to find French pancakes with chocolate between all the other goodies available.

We really liked how invigorating the decor of the breakfast room was and it helped us start the day with the right foot. Another unique feature was a big flat screen TV that during the whole breakfast quietly gave the quests suggestions as of what attractions they could visit in Bratislava during the day ahead. And we picked some quite nice ideas! ;)
