Las Fallas Street Food. The Biggest Party In Valencia Is Delicious
|
Cream filled churros |
Las Fallas festival (celebrated from the 1st to the 19th of March each year) is Valencia's biggest festival and the craziest one.
Like any other festival, Las Fallas has its share of food stalls and markets. Of course, heavy drinking is an important part of Las Fallas fun, and there are plenty of stalls and bars all over the city that sell mojitos, caipirinhas and beer. Some call this the Mother of All Parties, and we can't argue with that.
There's a lot of energy on the streets of Valencia during these days. People dancing and singing and throwing firecrackers till very late at night is a common sight. And seeing fallas, the light displays, the mascletas and the flower offering are just as unique experiences. There's something to do for everyone. And despite all the drinking and getting drunk thing, Las Fallas is a festival very much for the children too.
A peculiar detail however is that some of these yummy foods (like the buñuelos and the cream filled churros) can only be bought during Las Fallas. Once the festival finishes, all the street stalls disappear and with them, the mouth watering delicacies.
