A Great Summer Break - The Paleohora Music Festival
A ten day long music festival on the famous island of Crete which started on the 2nd of August is still welcoming wily travellers looking for a last-minute summer break.
Paleochora music festival is one of the largest in the Cretian calendar that draws visitors with its dedication to a wide variety of performances. Amongst the traditional and modern takes on puppet theatre, music and dance for you to discover, it hosts an X-Factor style song contest.

Performances can vary from the amusing to the breath-taking. Whether you love to watch or want to influence the mood by taking part yourself, visitors will be left with fond memories. You will no doubt be entertained by the surrounding Mediterranean delicacies and wine on offer.

Paleochora resort can be found in the south west of the island known for its impressive beaches and narrow Venetian streets.
It is popular during the festival period but the myriad of cafes, bars and restaurants can provide a relaxing atmosphere during the daytime.
The white sandy beaches offer a great place to go snorkelling or diving amongst other water sports. Stunning pictures are easy to capture amongst the views, especially with common sightings of dolphins. Sperm whales, the largest toothed animal in the world, have also been spotted along the coast.
The surrounding hills covered in forest provide you with relaxing shady walks and hikes as change for a change from the busy streets.
