Cozy and Quiet. Apartments Justingerweg, Bern

Bern is one of the most delicious small capitals in the world. Lovely fountains, cute bears and fondue... What's there not to like? On our latest European tour we stopped in Bern for a couple of days. Our visit was long due, and we were happy to return.

The first time we visited Bern, we only passed through and didn't spend the night. But this time around, we found ourselves a comfortable apartment in the Embassy Area, for a fancy stay.

Apartments Justingerweg are situated in a private residence. We were greeted by Maxine, her husband and their two adorable dogs and we immediately felt right at home. First of all we were given a tour of the house and the choice to pick whichever of the available apartments. We chose the basement one with one bedroom, but to be honest, they all looked quite appealing.

Despite the fact that it was situated in the basement, our apartment received plenty of natural light through the generous windows. But what we loved best about it was just how cozy it really was. We had plenty of space to move around, and the stylish furniture was tastefully chosen so it wouldn't crowd the rooms.

The kitchenette was a joy to have, especially after spending the last few weeks in hotel rooms. Fully equipped, it had a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine and microwave. Additionally, certain basics, like water, cereals for breakfast and coffee capsules were provided. However, the nearest supermarket was not far away either, and we enjoyed cooking dinner ourselves for a change.

Daily cleaning was included so all there was left for us to do was to enjoy our stay. One special mention goes to just how fantastic the apartment smelled! It's not every day that you rent an apartment that smells like your favourite perfume, trust me!

Though not situated smack down in the city center, Apartments Justingerweg are within comfortable distance from the tram stop and within walking distance from the Old Town. Walking all the way to the Clock Tower on a sunny morning was a delight. Bern is gorgeous seen from its bridges!

However, the whole Embassy Area is quiet and worth a stroll, packed with gorgeous buildings and fancy courtyards. Einstein Museum is not far away either, while the famous Bärengraben (the Bear Pit) is just 10 minutes away.

Bonus points for the Justingerweg Apartments are the free parking available on site and the free WiFi.

We had a wonderful time in Bern, and this was in part due to the beautiful apartment we stayed in. A personalised and friendly treatment, a spotless environment, and a comfortable apartment with plenty of space to relax and unwind, are hard to beat, don't you think?
