SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ Review. Music On The Go
Smartphones are wonderful. One can do every basic computer task right from the mobile, watch movies and listen to favorite music. But when I travel I cannot always charge my mobile phone while on the go. Sometimes I am worried that while on the plane or train if I use too much my mobile, once I get to my destination I might not have enough power for the GPS app that comes in so handy to find the hotel. That's why in my travels I like to take along a small backup mp3 player. It must be an inexpensive player with a long battery life, something with a good number of features and good audio quality. My choice: the SanDisk Sansa Fuze+
The Sansa Fuze+ MP3 player is a comfortable, slim device, that feels good in hand, and compatible with MPEG-4, H.264, WMV, and Flip video formats. I particularly love the fact that the device is compatible with so many high-fidelity file formats: MP·s, WMA, Secure WMA, OggVorbis, FLAC, and Audible files, as well as AAC for DRM-free iTunes music. The player has a 2.4-inch screen, which renders videos in resolutions up to 320 by 240 pixels. The screen has a refresh rate of 30 FPS. The player is also compatible with photos in JPEG and BMP format, but I don't really fancy watching any photos or videos on such a small screen. It's the audio capabilities where this small device really shines.
The Sansa Fuze+ MP3 Player has a build in radio that I sometimes use to listen to exotic languages during my travels or to try to find a radio station in English. And my wife likes the fact that she can even use its microphone to quickly record some blog post ideas while sightseeing. It has a virtually unlimited memory as it can be expanded through microSD cards. But mostly I like it because of its long battery life. The built-in rechargeable battery lasts up to 24 hours for audio playback. Between this mp3 player and my mobile I am set with enough power for any day trip.
