From the bustling streets of Istanbul to the brilliant beaches of Antalya, Turkey offers no shortage of marvellous sights or interesting things to do. Holidaymakers looking for culture, history and scenery will find plenty to love about Turkey, yet it’s also wise to try to save money whilst on holiday nowadays. By following a few simple guidelines, holidaymakers can enjoy Turkey’s wealth of attractions even on a tight budget.
Saving Money on Holiday
Before going on holiday, it’s important to key a few tips in mind to save money. Organise a package holiday to Turkey and that’s all you have to do. They’ll be cheaper and you don’t have to worry about booking things separately which is usually more expensive. If you’re going on a family holiday, this is usually the best thing to do as most packages will take into account of children. Booking separately will involve amendments for accommodation, travel and attractions. You’re going on holiday to enjoy yourself, not to plan! If possible, try not to travel during peak holiday season (which can obviously vary depending on location), as room rates will likely be cheaper. Likewise, always research your destination before leaving, as it will be easier to prioritise free and cheap attractions to see.
Always draw up a budget before travelling on holiday too, as this will help keep your expenses to a minimum. Finally, always remember to avoid packing your bags to heavily avoid dining and shopping at places that are too expensive. Doing this will help cut out any unnecessary expenditures and thus help save money.

Once you’ve drawn up a travel budget and booked a hotel, it’s off to explore this marvellous country and its rich variety of historic, cultural and natural treasures. From major cities to idyllic beaches to quaint countryside villages, Turkey has something for every holidaymaker.
Istanbul
Turkey’s largest city is rich with history and culture that spans several millennia. The city boasts a bevy of amazing sights and things to do, such as exploring historic landmarks like Hagia Sophia and the Tokapi Palace as well as architectural marvels like the Blue Mosque. The Galata Tower is another must-see landmark while world-class museums and galleries abound, including the Military Museum, the Museum of Archeology and the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art. Other top attractions in this wondrous city include Gulhane Park, Chora Church, the Beyoglu district and the historic Theodossian Walls.
Antalya
Antalya is Turkey’s premier beach resort city and home to breathtaking natural scenery and world-class shopping, nightlife and dining scenes. In addition to its renowned beaches and stunning waterfront scenery, Antalya offers an array of upmarket shops and restaurants to explore, endless outdoor activities to enjoy and landmarks like the ancient Kaleici district.
